Wow I've almost forgotten about this place
I've been kind of busy so I haven't had much time to sit through dreamwidth in a while. My boyfriend got sick a couple of weeks ago which ended with me getting sick AGAIN. And this was right before my best friend was flying into town to visit me and another friend for his wedding. Regardless of my pitiful state, I had a wonderful time with her.
I also started my new farming job this week! I went through 3 days of orientation and training. I'm already so stoked to be there! I can tell it's going be a huge difference from previous farm jobs. The company is young but it is quickly growing and the people there are so nice! I already know some of them from my farming program (including the instructor). I have to say, that first week alone has really ignited my spark for agriculture and gardening again after a month of being in a slump and feeling sick.
Writing and roleplaying has been thrown on the backburner for a bit though. Instead, I've been continuing my Stardew Valley run but I also ended up with three other Switch games to play. A friend convinced me to buy Octopath Traveller when it was on sale and I'm so glad I did. I love the characters I've recruited so far and their individual stories. I've also bought Katamari Reroll and I got Let's Go Pikachu for a late Christmas gift. I had my doubts about LGPE before but it's turning out to be a lot more fun than I anticipated of a Kanto remake (?).
Side note: I managed to beat Dawn of Sorrow 5 minutes before midnight on New Year's Eve! Now to get my hands on Aria of Sorrow later on.

The basic idea is to have a sustainable method of farming that produces the highest yield of crop possible and is clean and safe to eat, which is especially important with the recent outbreaks of e.coli found in lettuce that's grown normally. Where I live, it's very difficult to grow lettuce year round and this gives us an opportunity to provide the community with fresh local lettuce.
